The Payroll and Pension department is responsible for ensuring that the correct salary and pension benefits are paid out on time, according to applicable agreements. Through our work, we create security for employees, elected representatives, and their survivors - and strengthen trust in the Region's accountability.
Pension - We manage pensions with quality and transparency that meet agreed obligations and provide support to managers and HR in pension matters.
Payroll - We ensure correct salary payments and provide support to managers and employees on issues related to salary, agreements, and systems.

Pension Administrator/Payroll Specialist, Falun
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Pension Administrator (50%):
You ensure that current and former employees, elected representatives, and survivors receive the correct pension and compensation according to applicable pension agreements. The role includes, among other things:
- Investigating and quality-assuring employment history and handling supplements to the pension administrator and Pension Choice.
- Administering pension applications, death notifications, and employer certificates.
- Approving pension payments after verifying documentation.
- Handling corrections related to pension codes, pension fees, and signals from systems.
- Delivery certifying invoices and managing cases related to salary exchange/fee exchange.
- Monitoring the pension field and keeping knowledge updated on applicable agreements, regulations, and systems.
As a Payroll Specialist (50%):
You are responsible for ensuring that Region Dalarna's employees receive correct salaries on time, in accordance with laws, agreements, and internal procedures. The role includes, among other things:
- Quality-assuring and managing payroll documentation such as employment contracts, travel expense reports, and additions/deductions.
- Registering employments and terminations, managing schedules, vacations, and salary reviews.
- Performing controls, corrections, and reconciliations in connection with salary payments.
- Providing support to managers and employees on issues related to salary, agreements, systems, and taxes.
- Reporting salary-related information to external authorities and stakeholders such as the Tax Agency, KPA, AFA, and the Employment Service.
- Issuing certificates and making calculations upon request.
We are looking for someone who wants to work in a broad and important role where you combine two specialist areas - pension and payroll. The position is divided into 50% work as a pension administrator and 50% as a payroll specialist. You will be part of a competent team with a high service mindset and great responsibility for correct and quality-assured processes.
You have relevant education for the position and are currently working or have worked with both pension and payroll. You are a meticulous and structured person who thrives in a role with significant responsibility. You are/have:
- Meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious.
- Enjoy working in a service-oriented manner and providing support to managers and colleagues.
- Good ability to interpret and analyze documentation, history, and regulations.
- An interest in working both independently and in close collaboration with the team.
- Flexible and solution-oriented with the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks.
- Interest in development and improvement work.
